I was hanging a wall mural as I thought about the doctor books I told you about. I purposely did not reveal the name. I just wanted to share the concept of an easy book, one which focused on medicine in third world countries where there is no doctor. I've begun compiling information on basic "doctoring" that I have compiled in my journeys. It is far from complete but some pieces are already scattered on the website. That's how I learned them--scattered as a need or a scripture arose. That is the best way to learn. Scattered--here a little, there a little, a principle that we've used in our school from the beginning. I should like to put in a book form the elements needed in any basic community/society--"The five" (food, clothing, shelter, water, fire), sanitation, medicine (health/first aid/hospital/ob/gyn), geriatrics, schooling. All of this, for my life, presupposes that this community is a contingent of the kingdom of God. I Corinthians 15 contains an important principle which has guided our school-- first was that which is natural and after that which is spiritual. I did not spiritualize Genesis to Hannah. There was a space of years before she connected Genesis 1:1, In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. and John 1:1, In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. John 1:3 ALL things were made by him; and WITHOUT HIM WAS NOT ANY THING MADE THAT WAS MADE. John 1:14 And the Word was MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of THE ONLY BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER,) full of grace and truth. Jesus Christ as our Creator. At three years old, she was still trying to learn what the things of Genesis 1:1-2:7 were. Because of I Corinthians 15, we focus on the natural and its wonders and the magnificent almighty power of the God who wrought such amazing works. When she was finally presented with this amazing truth of John 1, having read Genesis and the beautiful, powerful Saviour of the gospels, the "Aaaaah..." came over her as she drank in this truth. She had all the necessary background, respect, love, and adoration to receive it inside of her. All must start with the natural. If we belong to Jesus, higher principles and understandings will soon appear. Why this discussion? The study of medicine and the set up of a community, to the false church, looks completely unspiritual, but that is just one more place that they are wrong because they do not understand the precepts found in the holy scriptures. When Israel came out of Egypt, they had been a slave people for 400 years. God told them how to run a community. He gave rules for food, shelter, santation, settling disputes, the use of water, laws, civic duties, medicine, criminal and civil law (including cities of refuge for those who committed manslaughter), etc. That could make for a very interesting study when approached with this understanding. A community they way that God would set it up. Of course, today, under the New Testament, we would not slay the animal sacrifices--we are the sacrifices. So even that part remains. We are a royal priesthood and we must go back to the Levitical priesthood to understand the law of the priesthood. And then when we have studied that, we are prepared to see the glories of the only wise God and our Saviour Jesus Christ when we turn to Hebrews which presents him as better than angels, Abraham, Moses, the Levitical priesthood, the sacrifices, all of it. He is our Father like Abraham, mediator like Moses, high priest like Aaron, sacrifice for our sins like the lamb, messenger like the angel. Knowledge of the Old Testament makes us ready to further worship at his feet as gaze into these marvellous truths and revelations. In both the Old and New Testament, we find information on attire and medicine. In Acts we find Paul gathering sticks for the fire--an important part of a community keeping those cooking and heating fires going. In the scriptures, there is detailed information on ships and buildings, housing, booths, husbandry, and on and on. Wine as a medicine in the case of the Samaritan and Timothy. Oil as an emollient in the case of the Samaritan and in Isaiah. But before these understandings came I was saved. I read the New Testament for my nourishment and growth. I got upset with the lies of the world. Jesus-is-Lord.com arose as a polemic in response to what I found out. I kept going through my own evils, the evils of others, tears, the false church, the devil, the world, the flesh, evil report, good report, stumbling, regaining...and the year 2000. Then in 2001, I was told that the altar of the Lord was broken down but that the stones were still lying around like in the times of Elijah when he repaired the altar of the Lord. I was also told that I would point God's people back. Of course, I didn't know all that that meant. Soon afterwards, in 2001 came oldlandmarks.com. Then I realized that I didn't know the Old Testament (like many of my peers in the false church). I was given dissatisfaction with this state of affairs and took a cassette study by the Zola Levitz ministry for an overview (there is room for the hireling). Soon after I was directed to teach my daughter the scriptures and, with my basic understanding of the Old Testament, we began a fabulous journey together. The scriptures then began to take on dimensions with me. You came to know me at this time. There was a time when someone came to the Lord with all the necessary background to understand, "I am the vine, ye are the branches." But now, in America, by and large THIS IS NOT THE CASE. But the amazing thing is that the scriptures contain within themselves what is necessary to direct even industrial man back to the land where he can learn these precious, ancient precepts. By the Spirit of the Lord, our eyes are opened and become seeing. And having seen the wonders, we look around at this world and the menace of today's man. Most professed Christians cannot hear this. They are still watching tv and holding on to the world. It is useless to explain this to them. All I have to say to them is, "Live right," and, "He is become the author of eternal salvation unto all them that OBEY him." I can only talk on that wise with them because this idea of Biblical Scholarship has no meaning for friends of the world. It is just an incovenient, strange, work-filled, way of living. My homemade clothes and ways make no sense and are in no way to be desired. Looking back, it is no wonder God took me offline in 2003 when I had another article ready for the deception series--I was still in deception myself. I was deceived about how a man is supposed to live. Because of that, I could not see the witchcraft and sorcery worked on me and how somebody gave me an artificial life. If you have ears to hear, BiblicalScholarship.net is a continuation of the Deception Series. Selah. You have often asked me to pray for you. Even though I don't ask it often I need you to pray for me. You said that you did, and I believe you. I need every last true word of prayer. Every drop, molecule, atom, and subatom. I am sorely provoked beyond measure, but God has even been gracious in that area. My worst enemy says that he loves me. My life could be worse...far worse. Keep praying. Who knows how much peace your prayers have wrought in this place? How many ideas and understandings came as a result of prayer from your corner? It's as if you are farming here through your prayers and when you read something that speaks to you, you are obtaining the fruit of your husbandry in my life. God will bless you for praying for me. I already know that because his word says so. He that giveth a drink of cold water only in the name of a disciple shall not lose his reward. There is blessing and reward tied up in your prayers.
