Dear Youngman:

I was just printing off an order form for the DVDs and came across this information on one of their DVDs I haven't seen, "The World According to Monsanto"--

"This enormously powerful film, The World According to Monsanto chronicles Monsanto’s controversial past: A history that combines some of the most toxic products ever sold with misleading reports, pressure tactics, collusion, and attempted corruption. They now race to genetically engineer (and patent) the world’s food supply, a frightening strategy which profoundly threatens our health, environment, and economy. Exposing secret documents with first-hand accounts by victims, scientists, and politicians, this widely praised film exposes why Monsanto has become the world’s poster child for malignant corporate influence in government and technology.

"...This film is the most motivating vehicle available today to drive energy and action to stop GE foods."

They are racing to genetically engineer the entire world's food supply. GMO foods have been on the shelves and in our guts for a long time and the grisly list of GMOs is growing. I believe that on the island(s) of Hawaii, most (I think someone said all) papaya are now GMO because of cross pollination.

These are desperate times, and the scriptures have something to say about desperate times--

**Have ye not read what David did when he was an hungred and ate the shewbread that was lawful only for the priests?

**Rahab when she sent the messengers away in peace and misled her own government and was spared?

**The Hebrew midwives who saved the male children alive misled Pharaoah and God made them houses?

These are desperate times and man is even corrupting the seed and the egg. I still don't know where I'd keep chickens, but my mind about this is in no way closed.

I have bigger issues in my life than these chickens, so I have to be careful about making rash moves--God breaks up my works sometimes--but I can still let myself see what I believe about this issue. God lets you think and ask him questions. The true and the living God can handle the questions and the thinking process. He is big enough to handle everything about me--that is why he is a jealous God--there is none other that can handle me and all my needs, only he can.

Dr. Bouw received his PHd in astronomy. He was an atheist. [note: they say most astronomers are not atheists--what they see is too vast, amazing, and orderly to occur by accident] When he decided in his mind that there was a God, he knew that it was the God of the Bible. He said that they other gods were too small--they could not create anything bigger than themselves. What a powerful statement. And he said just as calmly and matter-of-factly as any scientist might.

God can handle us. And right now on the table for me is disobedience. This question is going to face every true Christian in the not-too-distant future. The beast will be able to identify the ones that are not going along with his system. There will be things asked for that we will not give or do or abide. What will be that first thing for you if you are alive? I suppose my point is let yourself be prepared to reject laws. Years ago, I read an article in the newspaper about a prostitute running for mayor in a place like San Francisco. She wanted to require all police officers to take a test on which they were questioned about sodomites ("gays"). Don't pass the test, and you cannot work.

This was/is the kind of thing that happens under the despotic governments. Those high school assessment tests (ridiculous as they are) are only going to become worse. A person could know every fact on them, but then they don't answer Question 7--about their allegiance--and they fail or are perhaps "re-educated".

Or the day comes when public school is compulsory. The powers that be say that "every child has a RIGHT to a public education." Oh, oh. If it is a "right" then I am depriving my child of her rights. When the UN Convention on the Child is in place here, then I am breaking the law because they say that the rights of the child take precedence over the rights of the parents.

I don't know if you've read "Brave New Schools" by Berit Kjos, but it is worthy to be read. It was written years ago, but the precepts opened my eyes to what is happening--including Mental Health services. What you and I believe indicates mental problems in their paradigm.

Everything is shifting. People are in the dark, so they think science has the answers and that it is government's job to take care of them. The devil came into America and cleaned our clock. A weak and pleasure loving church was no defense. We, the children, stand in the rubble and try to make sense of how we got here. Actually, I've found that not too many care. It seems like I'm too intense. As I look back through history, I've found one here and one there trying to sound a warning, but the masses don't listen. The coming great tribulation will be required to purify this almost completely, doorknob dead church. But those of us who are Christians will rise up as they tear us up. We will be better than ever. I perceive it would be good to die void of all worldly entanglements and only the name of Jesus on your lips. All you have is your belief and the Lord is right there to receive you unto himself.
