I used to think that environmentalism was for witches and new agers--as I set in a dead church, so worldly and comfortable that it could not see outside of its ice cream socials and "revivals".

All of these explorations arose from Genesis 1:1-2:7 and possessing the King James Bible for our textbook. This school year after Ezekiel and Daniel, Job--in each chapter exploring some phenomena--it is full of natural precepts--wide, sweeping ones like the distillation of clouds. We will read each chapter for understanding. When it comes time for science, we'll delve down into some precept.

The end of all true study is worship. This we have found in our school and even as I view the grass at my feet or examine the speed of our amazing circulatory system that God made. One man said looking at his thumb was enough to prove to him that there is a God. Let that word burst on the seen in all your studies--don't leave one out. Worship.

Today is our first day of school. I must go. All the videos on the site are not to be looked at--for instance, "The Corporation". I saw a trailer for it a few years ago. It uses pop culture to make points. Too unclean.

At one historical musuem they showed where the woman of the house kept her laying hen in a basket in the kitchen during winter. Hens lay better when not too freezing cold though you can still find heritage breeds that will take a freezing cold winter. Knowing how to build or fortify a shelter is not only important for you but for your animals as well.
