[Man: The Image and Glory of God II, 2-27-09] Dear Youngman: You asked, > • Is it possible for a man to fall from being the image of God? I don't know. I cannot think of a scripture that says that that is so. Be the soul that bears the image ever so wicked, I don't know if the image can be completely effaced. After Adam sinned one might think that the image and likeness would have been erased, but then some 4,000 years later, Paul says that a man ought not to cover his head insomuch that he *IS* the image and glory of God. I do not believe that this was a surprising statement or revelation to men at that time. A look through history shows MAN. Look at the names and acts and achievements. Few and far between are the names of any women. One man among a thousand, but Solomon couldn't number a woman in the group. It is MAN that has conquered the world and sent airplanes into the sky and steamships across the ocean. It is man that has had his treasure cities built and been progenitor to the multitudes that populate the face of the earth. Structure throughout societies has always been patriarchal (notwithstanding the fictionalized accounts of revisionist historians). Even when there were matriarchs, men were the warriors. The only time you see female warriors is in hollywood science FICTION. NO WOMAN IS A MATCH FOR A MAN ON ANY LEVEL, that is the bottom line. When Deborah judged Israel we do not read about her leading the army--Barak did that. Feminists (fueled by the devil) hate man's power and have pushed forward an agenda of making men and women equal in all respects. That is a lie. The "women's lib" movement liberated women into working a 40-hour work week. A feminist does not have to be a woman, a feminist can be a man that seeks to forward this agenda. I believe that our new president fits into this category and so do many other men in America. They are giving up their power and leaving the deceived maid children in charge. Man has been demoted in his mind, and, as a man thinketh so is he. Men are weak because they have given away their glorious power to women and children. The Bible talks about this in Isaiah-- Isaiah 3:4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths. For ancient man, it was a shame to be killed by a woman. When a woman sore wounded Abimelech, he told his armourbearer to thrust him through lest it be said that he was slain by a woman. "Let a man kill me, fine. A woman...never!" Judges 9:54 Then he called hastily unto the young man his armourbearer, and said unto him, Draw thy sword, and slay me, that men say not of me, A woman slew him. And his young man thrust him through, and he died. I once read the words of Black Hawk, a Sauk Indian chief, who knew that he and his men could not win a war against U.S. soldiers. He said that he waged war anyway lest his people call him a woman. Being called a woman is too much of a shame for manhood no matter what continent manhood is found on. Mephibosheth
