Sunday 3/1/09 Dear Youngman: Greetings. I was on the site adding to and reading our correspondence about manhood when a scripture occurred to me. Jacob talked about how he was blessed above his progenitors. I looked up the definition for the word "progenitor" online. It said that it could be anyone in someone's direct line--father or mother. I also found that monster science uses the term progenitor in their tampering with cells. I guess the first cell that they propogate is called the called progenitor. That is NOT the definition of a progenitor. When something is not magnified for what it really is, any usurper can come along and change the definition and then later generations never know what it was in the first place. A good example of this is the word, "pregnant". The Bible way of saying this is, "with child". If people had kept saying, "She is with child," there would never be a question as to whether the unborn was a child or not. I looked up "progenitor" in the Webster's 1828. The etymology of the word shows that it means to beget. Only men beget. Mothers and cells are not progenitors. Men are progenitors. And when we look at the Bible, this was very important to ancient man. He wanted children. He wanted sons and he sought out maid children for his sons that his name might continue on. The Bible has a lot to say about begetting. God is a Father who gave us his only begotten Son and has adopted us into his family. And now we call him Father. We must not give over the word "progenitor" to the enemy. It is not his to have. A woman is not a progenitor and neither is a cell. Man is a progenitor. Adam is the progenitor of all mankind. The other day when I was telling a young boy about Adam, I told him that Adam is his father. That seemed to grab his attention. I told him that Adam is everybody's father. He is the progenitor of all mankind. Men are the progenitors of the families of the earth. My daughter and I once sat in the backyard and made up a song-- Adam Seth Enos Cainan Ma-ha-la-leel (and Jared) E-noch was not -- Me-thu-selah La-mech and Noah These are the first ten progenitors of all mankind. Of course there were other men born during these generations--but all these other side lines were lost in the flood. All the nations that we see today came from the patriarch Noah. It is strange and interesting and enlightening to know your first ten progenitors. Some people trace their family tree back as far as they can. The scriptures take us all the way back and names names. Biblical geneaologies are important and enlightening. At a certain point, I felt compelled to study them, so I did. After studying them, I felt that there had been less than 200 generations (I now believe there have been more, see below). This was very surprising to me because I had always thought of thousands upon thousands of generations as having passed across the face of this earth. I no longer believed in evolution at that time, but it just seemed that there are had been many thousands of generations. Some thoughts...In the 20th century (1900-1999) here are the generations for "Susan's" family (from the woman's side because I know these birth dates) 1910 Grandmother born 1946 Susan's mother born 1966 Susan born 1999 Susan's daughter was born. This is four (4) generations in a 100 year period. If the earth is approximately 6000 years old, that is 60 centuries. 60 x 4 = 240 generations. Now if men married and beget children at 16 years old, that changes things. There could be 6.25 generations each century--but I don't know how young men married. In the book of Numbers, men were able to go to war at 20 years old. I've used this number to establish adulthood. That being the case, we could estimate generations based on begetting at this age. That would be five (5) generations per century. 60x5=300 generations, which I still consider a small number. Father's side ? Susan's Grandfather born 1942 Father born 1967 Brother born 2001 Brother's son born (his daughter was born in 1999) We're getting married later and later. We're fornicating earlier and earlier. We're killing the firstborn through abortion (IUDs and pills are abortive devices). Many, many firstborns are dead. Even in the scriptures Satan wanted the firstborn and Israel like some kind of madman gave their firstborn to Molech and whatever other god demanded that horrible sacrifice from them. Molech is not dead and he is getting more and more babies--earlier and earlier--even when they are a cell big. Neither father nor mother know that they are alive or dead. They were conceived in a petri dish or test tube or maybe some kind of tank. Some don't have a father. Some fool scraped off some cells, extracted DNA, and injected it in an egg. Dr. Jekyll in his white lab coat has concocted them from his own defiled brain. He plays with them and discards them when he is done. The firstborn is dead and nobody is mourning him. Young people today have a heavy load to bear. The truth is HIDDEN and BURIED, meanwhile the world is LOUD and calling their corrupt flesh and they are enjoying what treats they can get. Meanwhile there is a gnawing--especially on the side of the maid children but they powerless to get off of the snowball that is rolling down the hill. Back to geneaologies...My first calculations took into account the number of generations from Adam to the Lord Jesus Christ. Genesis tells us how old each patriarch was when he begot each son. They lived very long. In Genesis 5 we see Adam was 130 when he begat Seth, Seth was 105 when he begat Enos, etc. But these were not exclusively first children as in the case with Seth. Mephibosheth
