Dear Youngman: Greetings. > Dear Mephibosheth, > > Thank you for your last couple of emails. I am prayerfully considering the > things you said in them. I have been thinking about how man is created in > God's image. Man is to subdue the earth. Man bears God's glory. What does > this mean? I don't fully understand, yet. The first thing is to be > separated > from the world, get out of the system that corrupts me and replace it with > prayer and the scriptures. I've long thought about what it means that man is the image and glory of God. I don't claim to know the answer, but, if man is the IMAGE and glory of God then the answer to our question is, OBVIOUS An image is OBVIOUS. We must look at the OBVIOUS. Now we have a small problem here because modern man has been denatured and devitalized, yet I believe that his greatness can still be found, though it is warped. [Not only that, we have fine examples of ancient manhood in the scriptures to look at. What did those men do? What did the FIRST MAN Adam do that made him God's image and glory? This is as simple as listing out characteristics that are unique to a man.]

Yesterday as I watched a mallard duck and his female fly across the lake and out of sight, a thought occured to me, "faster and higher". He was in front and flying higher in the sky than his female. Men are bigger, stronger, faster, smarter, emotionally more stable (don't let a woman's antics draw you down and give you ridiculous things to wrestle with in your precious time) and so much more. You have scripture and prayer and have had these for some time. In leaving the system that corrupts you, you must retain these and you must WORK. God ordained in Eden that man must work by the sweat of his face. Paul said that if a man will not work he shall not eat. He said that one that does not care for his own house is worse than an infidel, a rejecter of the Christian faith. Even before the fall, ADAM WORKED. It was part of the pleasure of being in Eden. YOU MUST WORK. I don't know what kind of work--our precious Lord was a carpenter, and it is certainly a useful skill. Last year I discovered that I really enjoyed carpentry and have found it so useful. Everyman should know how to build--how to work HANDTOOLS, how to handle wood, how to build himself a shelter. > I have been thinking about the Bible word for triangle. What kind of good relationship can be forged with somebody who wants to be petted and made comfortable? I've seen Satan do this. Where a person cries real tears, speaks a multitude of words and does various acts in order to get their way. At first I was just looking at the person, but after some time, I saw that it was Satan. The Bible asks a question, "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" The answer is "No." In the area of television, it is obviously wicked, and for her to change her evil habit around to make you look evil for speaking the truth is manipulation. When I cannot agree with someone about the truth, no matter what that ONE truth is, then I must leave them alone. There are many things that I do not know, and therefore cannot require consensus (whether I must yield to the truth or they must yield to the truth), but there are some things like television that are obviously wrong. I do not deal with church people that watch tv. When people are addicted to tv, no matter how nicely you put your arguments, many are going to HATE you and eye you with suspicion--for some, you are cutting off their life force. But in other cases, their pride wells up. They say, "This person is condemning me, I am embarassed. They are not on a higher spiritual level than me. Who does he think he is anyway?" THIS CASE WITH "SOMEBODY" IS A CASE OF PRIDE. Being forthright is not a sin. Psalms asks who will dwell in the Lord's tabernacle. One of this man's characteristics is that he speaks the truth that is in his heart. Elihu, in the book of Job, said that he did not know how to give flattering titles to man lest God take him away. You don't have to flatter and tip-toe around a fellow believer, or anybody for that matter. Our words are with grace and seasoned with salt, but their power is still there. If I am making a steak, I'll season it and tenderize it but you will still have to chew it. It will not be put in a blender so that it will go down like a milkshake. Words of truth and sobriety are strong meat in a decadent age and church--although not watching tv is not even milk-level in reality--that should have been done with when a person repented. A false church with a false gospel and a false Jesus does not tell you all that. But though you were sitting in that false church, with a false gospel, and a false Jesus, GOD KNEW THAT YOU WERE REAL and you had to learn to stop doing evil, not by the admonitions of the church but OUTSIDE OF THE CHURCH. Then when you stop doing evil, that same church that received you, condemns you. Is it then of Christ or Antichrist? At the end of my years in the church system, I found that there was no place for the truth in the visible church. That brings us to a good point--why are you in Somebody's church anyway? A place where her kind get church positions and where tv is not preached against and everybody does not use the King James Bible? Do you think it is really a blessing? Where is this church in God's plan? What are they doing--is it of the kingdom or is it of disobedience? As I mentioned to you before, I do not even deal with professed Christians that watch tv. If our first conversation about tv brings no consensus, then I must release them. If they are of the Lord, he knows what to do with his own--HE DID IT TO ME AND I HAVE BEEN FREE FOR A DECADE. I *******************************HATE******************************* television. There was no man to tell me to stop watching it. GOD ALMIGHTY TOLD ME HIMSELF AND THEN LET THAT SPIRIT SCARE ME IN MY LIVING ROOM WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO WATCH IT ANYWAY. Now I HATE it. God can handle his own children. If she is sitting there justifying it and making you look like the evil one, she is not being real. She is being manipulative. She knows it within herself and puts on a fake indignation front. Satan can use people like that. Now I am spending time with the knots that she has tied up in you. The words of Mephibosheth are ended on this matter. Goodbye for now, Mephibosheth
